Oral Vitamins vs. Intravenous Vitamins
Vitamin and mineral supplements offer a multitude of benefits, and most people will take some form of oral (by mouth) vitamin in their child and/or adult lives. There are several vitamin and mineral supplements available over the counter that are safe for daily use. They are easily accessible and easy to incorporate into daily life habits.

Why should I consider IV vitamin infusions? All oral medications (vitamins included) go through a process called "first-pass metabolism" during absorption. This typically occurs in the liver. This process results in a decreased concentration (amount absorbed) of the medication by the time it reaches the site of action or the blood stream. With IV therapy, the vitamins and minerals are directly infused into the blood stream, therefor completely bypassing first-pass metabolism. When we bypass first-pass metabolism, you get the complete dose of the vitamin and/or minerals that are in your infusion.
